It is interesting to match a root spice (ginger), black peppercorns and limes (both shaved rind and fruit) with a beer style that is renowned for its deep copper colour, medium body with fruity esters and medium hopping.
Normally a pale ale is a crisp, dry beer with a subtle and balanced character. The ginger spice mix addition provides an earthy flavour to the malt body with accompanying clean citrus notes. The spice is not over whelming but rather a nice accompaniment to a classic beer style.
